Obviously, this whole global pandemic has had a massive impact on the gaming industry, and it's likely that a lot of planned content had to be cancelled, in order for the next NFS to be even remotely capable of being released on time sometime next year. In an unexpected, yet not THAT shocking turn of events, it's been announced that development of NFS Heat will come to an end, as Criterion has begun development of the next title in the franchise.
